A lot has happened over the past 25 years, from opening our first coffeehouse on 11th Street in Calgary, to taking our coffeehouses nation wide – and meeting a lot of good people along the way. Here are some of their stories - but we'd like to hear yours! Whether you've been with us from the beginning, or you've just discovered Good Earth, what is your story? Submit yours here, or on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram at @GoodEarth HQ. Your submission gives you a chance to win a $25 gift card! Click here for contest details.
Jan started with Good Earth in May of 1995, and has been baking with us ever since. He’s proud of the healthy food he prepares for our customers. Jan’s favourite menu item to make (and eat) is the Southwest Bake. Not only is it colourful, but it tastes really good!
Recycling is Jan’s true passion and he proudly looks after our Corporate Office and Commissary recycling program. Every day after work hours, he voluntarily sorts through bottles, plastic, tin and metal – this even includes light bulbs - and ensures it gets disposed of properly.
“After 3 months of working at Good Earth, I saw how much they truly care about their customers, but also their staff!”
In the summer of 1991, Elaine Kupser started her own business (IMPACT Magazine) the same time Good Earth opened its doors. Throughout the years, Good Earth has been part of Elaine’s daily routine and community. It’s a place where she has taken friends, family and clients over the last 25 years. And now with more locations to choose from, she won’t run out of options to drink her favourite coffee or enjoy her favourite healthy foods!
“I remember visiting Good Earth when it first opened in 1991. It was unique as it served both amazing coffee and healthy food – I’m glad to see that some things don't change!”
